The Application for duplicate marks card should be accompanied by an affidavit certified by a Notary / Judge on a judicial stamp paper of Rs. 50/- with a copy of acknowledgement obtained by the Police station for having lodged the complaint about the lost of the Marks card / Certificate.

SELECTION OF CANDIDATES
Selection of candidates shall be made through Central
Counselling to be held every year between August and October to the seats in
Government
Medical
Colleges
, Bowring and
Lady
Curzon
Hospital
and
Govt.
Dental
College
,
Bangalore
as
well as Govt. Quota seats in private Para Medical Colleges/Institutions.
The minimum qualification prescribed for admission to the
Para Medical Courses shall be a pass in II PUC with Science subjects (Physics,
Chemistry, Biology/Physics, Chemistry, Zoology/Physics, Chemistry, Botany)
except for Diploma in Medical Records Technology for which minimum
qualification would be II PUC with any optional subjects such as
Science/Arts/Commerce with a pass in English Typing or in basic Computer.
If sufficient candidates who have passed with PUC science
subjects are not available, the candidates with S.S.L.C. qualification could be
admitted to the above courses except Diploma in Physiotherapy.
The candidates admitted to any Para Medical Course either
in Government or Private Institutions are not paid stipend, freeship or
scholarship.
There shall be no commitment on the part of the State
Government or Para Medical Board to provide job to the candidates who have
successfully completed the course.
The candidate should have attained the minimum age of 15
years as on 31st December prior to the year of admission. Upper age limit would
be 35 years. In case of In Service, SC & ST candidates upper age limit
would be 40 years.
The selected candidates should get him / herself admitted to the respective college / institution and course duly furnishing originals of certificates of qualifying examinations duly paying prescribed fee.
The
admitted candidates have been prescribed the following dress code:
Blue Collared White Apron with Blue Colour PMS Emblem on both the shoulders and name plate. Common for both boys and girls.

Board is empowered to prescribe the dress code from time to time

The
duration of the above courses will be of two years except Diploma in
Physiotherapy for which the duration will be three years plus six months internship
is compulsory.
The candidates with SSLC qualification shall study for
three years. English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology of PUC standard shall be
taught in the first year of the course to these students.
TUITION AND OTHER FEE

Tuition fee for all Para Medical Courses is common as
fixed by the Govt. in Order No. HFW/41/MPS/2000 dated 18.06.2001 is as
follows and subject to revision from time to time:

Any candidate after admission desirous of change of
college or course can do so duly making an application to the Chairman, Para
Medical Board through the concerned Principal of the College/Institutions along
with a D.D. for Rs. 1000/- drawn in
favour of the Chairman as fee. The change is subject to availability of
College/ Institutions / Course.
Any candidate after admission to the course, change
his/her name shall do so but the same should be intimated to the Board
immediately through the Principal of the concerned Institution along with a
copy of Gazette Notification with a fee of Rs. 100/-
Any candidate after admission either in Govt. or Pvt.
College desires to discontinue the course shall pay penalty of Rs.1000/- to the
Board in the form of DD drawn in favour of the Chairman, Para Medical Board
along with NOC & NDC of the concerned Principal of the College.
EXAMINATION:
The examinations to the candidates of Para Medical
courses shall be conducted by the Para Medical Board. The Board examinations
shall be conducted in accordance with the scheme of examination drawn for each
subject.
There shall be two examinations in a year, i.e., Annual
and Supplementary Examinations and shall be conducted by the Para Medical
Board. Regular Internal assessment will be conducted by the concerned College/
Institutions. The Board examinations shall consist of written, practical and
viva examinations as specified in the scheme of examination prescribed for each
course.
The internal assessment must be conducted by the
concerned colleges at least twice in a year and the marks list containing the
average of these two internal assessment shall be submitted to the Board well
before the commencement of the Board Theory Examination by the Principal of the
concerned College/Institutions. Internal marks received after the stipulated
date will not be considered.
Only such students who produces the certificate from the
Head of the Institution to the effect that he/she has regularly and
satisfactorily followed the course of study by attending not less than 75% of
the classes held both in Theory and Practical separately for each subject.
The candidate registered for the examination shall appear
for the examinations only at the Centre assigned for that Institution in which
the candidate has fulfilled his/her course requirement.
A student can register for appearing Board examination by
filling up the prescribed application form issued by the Para Medical Board.
The application forms will be issued to the concerned Institutions after
receiving the list of eligible candidates taking up the examination in that
college / institution. Application of candidates who have paid the examination
and registration fee and whose application forms duly certified by the Head of
the concerned Institution in respect of attendance etc., shall be considered by
the Board for registration for any examination.
Candidates who have passed the examination in parts shall
enclose attested copies of marks cards of all the previous attempts along with
the application for registration.
Disciplinary action shall be taken against such
candidates who furnished false information in his/her application form for
registration.
The dates for both theory and practical examinations for
annual/supplementary examinations shall be announced by the Member Secretary of
the Board after consulting the Chairman. The Member Secretary shall intimate
to the Heads of the Institutions regarding the date of examinations at least
one month prior to the commencement of the examination. Under unavoidable
circumstances, the Board reserves the right to alter the dates of any
Examinations on prior intimation.
Following are the prescribed fees for the examination
conducted by the Board. This is common to all the courses for the time being
and subject to revision by the Board from time to time.

The Principals of Government and Private Institutions
shall collect the Examination fees at the rates mentioned above from the
candidates and shall be remitted on or before the prescribed date to the Para
Medical Board in the form of DD drawn in favour of “The Chairman, Para Medical
Board”.
The examination and penal fees once paid to the Board
shall not be refunded or reserved or adjusted for the next or subsequent
Examination at any circumstances.
Examinations shall be held only at such Centers as the
Board may decide from time to time, which shall be announced before the last
date of registration for Examination. Private Institutions desires of having
their Institution as Examination Centre shall pay prescribed fee as fixed by
the Board from time to time as Examination Centre Fee. However, the authority
to grant/decline an Institution as Centre for Examination rests entirely with
the Board.
Any
kind of malpractice in the examination will be severely dealt with a
punishment, which ranges from debarring the candidate from writing the examination
or as decided by Malpractice Committee formed by the Board.

Results
of various Para Medical Courses approved by the Board shall be published at the
Office of the Member Secretary of the Board and also in Government and Private
Para Medical Institutions for the information of the students.
There
will be no revaluation or provision to issue the xerox copy of any answer books
of any subjects. However, a student can apply for re-totaling by paying Rs.
200/- per subject to the Board in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of
"The Chairman, Para Medical Board".
The
valued answer scripts shall be preserved upto six months or till the Board's
next examination and then destroyed.
Every
candidate appeared for the Board's examination will be issued Marks Card duly
signed by the Chairman as well as the Member Secretary.
A duplicate Marks Card shall be issued to the candidate
making application through the Head of the respective Institution in the
prescribed form and on payment of Rs. 300/- provided the Board is satisfied
with the explanation given by the candidate that the original Marks Card has
been lost or damaged and the same is attested by the Head of the Institution in
which he / she has studied. Further, there is no provision to issue the
consolidated marks card.

DIPLOMA
CERTIFICATES
Candidates
shall be eligible to obtain their Diploma Certificates directly from the Board
only after:
1.
Successful completion of the prescribed Diploma in Para Medical Course
2.
Submission of Xerox copy of SSLC marks card
3 Submission of the attested copies of the marks cards of the previous
examinations
4.
Two passport size photographs of the candidate
5.
Rs. 300/- as certificate fee per candidate payable to the Board in the form of
DD.
The
Diploma Certificate will have the signatures of the Chairman and Member
Secretary of the Para Medical Board.
The
Diploma Certificate shall be collected by the candidate in person.
A duplicate certificate shall be issued to the candidates
making an application through the Head of the respective Institution in the
prescribed form and on payment of Rs. 300/- provided the Board is satisfied
with the explanation given by the candidate that the original Diploma
certificate has been lost or damaged and the same is attested by the Head of
the Institution in which he/she has studied.

There
is no provision to issue Transfer Certificate to any candidate who completes
Diploma successfully unless or otherwise he / she intends to persue higher
studies based on Diploma Certificate issued by this Board.
